Well, it has been a minute since we connected and got to hang out over here on the podcast. For those of you that listen consistently, you will have noticed that we did take the month of July off. Um, for me personally, we had a big vacation planned. We went out to LA for my boyfriend's reunion, family reunion, and did some other family fun things over there. Um, we had some house projects, we had the kids home for the summer. So I know you have also had a lot going on this summer. And so I just thought, you know, this might be a great time for everybody just to take a break, for us to reset over on our end and then officially get into season three with a new topic and some other new fun things, which I'm going to talk about in this episode. So I'm gonna give you the first listen of the new podcast intro, and then I'll meet you inside the episode to talk about what to expect. You're listening to the Enneagram MBA podcast, a show of understanding people at work, including yourself, usually talking about the Enneagrams, sometimes talking about other resources and methods, but always bringing value and having fun along the way. I'm your host, Sarah Wallace, certified Enneagram coach, speaker, and workshop facilitator. And I cannot wait to see you inside. All right, well, here we are officially inside of season three. This episode will just be a kind of laying the groundwork for what to expect inside this season. Our first official interview will be next week with um an amazing guest. I know you're gonna love, talking about what it's like to be a leader as a type two and her specific expertise around executive coaching in the outdoors. So, how does she help people get out from behind their computers, get out of the office, and get into the outdoors and why we would even want to do that? All the benefits and the science-backed benefits of doing that. That's a really fun and interesting episode coming your way. So keep on the lookout for that. Um, this season is all about leadership and not just the stereotypical leadership image that you might be having in your mind where you're leading a big company, you're leading a big team. Yes, maybe some of that. What lessons can we learn from some of those people with that experience? But also leading a client, leading our clients, leading an online community, leading our Instagram followers, leading our email um subscribers, all the different ways that we can lead and all the different styles that we can lead with. It's not just one single Enneagram type is the most natural leader. Um, it's anybody can step up, use their the gifts of their unique personality and be a leader. It just may not look like that stereotypical image, but it doesn't mean that it's any um less effective. Um, no type is necessarily better or worse than the other. It's just different. And that's also not to say that because we have one specific, you know, personality, we have specific natural tendencies that we can't take on needed behaviors in certain situations, um, just understanding what those are. So we're gonna hear from all kinds of different leaders and we're we're going to break this season up into three main sections. One of those sections is you're going to hear from those different types of leaders, um, their experience, their expertise, what to take away. And then um they they'll have some sort of kind of um niche to to dive a little bit deeper in with us. Um, so we have Pam coming up about outdoor leadership. We're gonna have women taking the lead topic. We're going to have topics on how to how to lead in a job hunt. What do we need to know if we're you know pivoting our career, how to be that leader uh in in that situation. So all different types um and situations. And then we are going to have a special series on understanding people so that we can be that that better leader. Um, we're understanding an empathetic leader by using some tools outside of just the Enneagram. So we have a 360 review topic, we have a Colby assessment guest expert coming on, Clifton Strengths, and a couple more coming your way in September. And then we're gonna round out the episode um at the end with nine specific episodes on each of the types. And originally I was gonna have this be leadership style by Enneagram type, but I thought, you know, that might just be applicable or interesting for the person who resonates with that specific type. And I really want it to be valuable and useful for everybody, regardless of their type. And so what we're going to do is just still look at that a little bit about, you know, yes, we'll talk about that, but it'll really be understanding that person at work. So understanding in this case, a type one. How do you know if you're working with a type one and what to know about working with a type one, how best to work with them, maybe some questions to ask them, some things to look out for, some things to maybe tweak if you're looking to move the ball forward, get the goal accomplished. Um, just some things to keep in mind because the way that you might be viewing the project or the work, or if you're working with a client, right? Your advice might need to be shifted a little bit based on what your natural tendencies are versus theirs. So we're gonna look at what it's like working with each of the nine types towards the end of the season. And I'm excited to bring that to you. Now, things might change. This is very planned out for me. This is the most prepared and planned um that I've had any podcast episode, any podcast season that I've ever done. Um, this is the this is the most organized that I've ever had it. Um, so things might change if they do. I'll absolutely let you know. But based on what I've been working on, the people that I've been talking to, the ideas that I've had, um, that is what you can expect. And I'm really excited about it. And I I like the idea of putting these kind of guardrails of a theme on the season because I think that gives you a better idea of what to expect and kind of gives you an idea of when you show up to each of these episodes, the lens you can expect to view the episode through. And then also um for me, it's it's personally been helpful. Um ironically, the more narrowed in the topic has been for this season, the more expansive ideas that I've gotten for this episode of new people to ask, of from different companies, from different industries, um, from different, and then different expertise and different perspectives on leadership. So um that's really I'm really excited. I'm excited um to be sharing all of it with you. So thank you so much for being here. Um, thanks for listening in. And then I do want to add um two kind of announcements, I guess, as we close this one up. One, if you happen to have some unique leadership experience or skill or certification, um, reach out, let me know. I would love to hear about it. If it's a fit for the show, let's get you on. Um, if you happen to know somebody else who does, maybe you don't, but you know somebody else is coming to mind, um, reach out, let me know about them. I would love to have them. Um, you can email me at Sarah S-A-R-A-H at enneagrammba.com. Let me know about them. Would love to hear. And then the second one is at the beginning of this episode, you heard about the understanding people cheat sheet. If you're not, if you haven't already gotten that guide and not already on my email list, make sure you get your copy. I'm gonna say it again just as a friendly reminder, just a little friendly nudge to get that guide downloaded. I have restarted my newsletter list a couple of weeks ago. And um, the newsletter is called Understanding People. And each week there is a specific theme. So you're all about this, about about the theme helping me stay organized each week for this. And we had um we've had a parenting theme, we've had a money issue. Um, and so get on the list to get Enneagram resources related to that specific theme, but then some also some other resources that maybe are other tools and frameworks that maybe are books, TED Talks, studies, research, um, different, there's gonna be five each week that you can expect um to for you to dive into as much as the topic interests you. Um it's kind of a buffet of options. If you want to dive into all of them, great. If you just want to dive into one because that's the only one that's calling on you, that's great. Take in what you want, ignore what you don't. Um, but there are some fun new resources offering some perspectives and research, um, ideas about how to better understand people, including yourself. So sign up for that. Again, that cheat sheet is at Sarah, or I'm sorry, that's my email. It's uh EnneagramMBA.com forward slash cheat sheet. So EnneagramMBA.com forward slash cheat sheet, all one word. Um, and you'll be able to get your um guide to understanding all nine Enneagram types. So with that, I'm very much excited for you to be here. I'm very much excited to go into season three with you. And uh I'm very excited to see you next week inside the first interview episode with Pam Chow talking about outdoor leading in the outdoors. So I'll see you then. Have a good one.
