You're listening to the Enneagram MBA Podcast, a show about understanding people at work, including yourself. I'm your host, Sarah Wallace, and I'm excited to be diving into this week's episode with you. Well, hi there, and welcome back to another season here on the Enneagram MBA Podcast. I'm your host, Sarah Wallace, and it has been just a minute since we have been here together, hasn't it? I knew that I would be taking off during the holidays a month or two, but here we are, kind of three or four creeping into April. And um it has it just it got hectic and in a good way. I I had uh some personal trips and opportunities that I'm thankful for. I I had some exciting work trips and work opportunities that were really fun to be a part of. And so I'm grateful for all those. It just got it got hectic. And so the podcast kept getting pushed back and pushed back and pushed back, but we're here now. I'm glad that you're here. I'm glad that I'm here. Um, if you happen to be listening to this for the first time, welcome. I'm glad that you're here as well. And I hope to be saying welcome back to you as well. Um, this is a short and sweet, just kind of intro to season four episode. I wanted to let you know what to expect. So you could decide if you want to keep tuning in or not. Um, moving into the new season, one of the changes you probably already saw was the artwork. Um, I had shared on my Instagram stories a few weeks ago kind of the the origin behind those changes and why. And I just wanted something that I thought was more reflective of Enneagram and work and business kind of energy and was a little bit more colorful. And there is a podcast called Olive Cheese that I listened to, and I was inspired by their cover art. So if you happen to know what podcast I'm talking about, you'll have to, or if you just want to look it up. It has nothing to do with personal growth or development, it's a science-y type of podcast. Um, I really enjoy it just to kind of tune out and relax, and you don't have to listen to every word. They're they're longer episodes. But anyway, the the art I like. Hers is much more simple. This one's a little bit more colorful and loud, but I I also love the color. So it's reflective um of I think what what I'm I'm going here with what I'm going for with the show. Um, so I'm excited to have that to actually look at going into this new season. As far as content, there's going to be really three main categories of episodes that you'll hear. One is other Enneagram teachers and guides and coaches and consultants sharing their perspective and um their experience with the Enneagram, usually around a specific topic. So we have um what does race have to do with the Enneagram, Enneagram and burnout, Enneagram and growth, how to use the Enneagram to manage up. So uh all kinds of different Enneagram experts coming in and sharing their unique and individual experience with it and perspective. And so I know I'm gonna learn so much. And I already have, I've already started some of these interviews and have gotten so much out of them, have gotten so inspired by them. And so looking forward to sharing those with you. The second type of episode that you can expect to hear are kind of more Enneagram in the workplace in real life type of interviews, where it is somebody who is not technically an Enneagram teacher or expert, um, but somebody who is willing to share their open up and get personal about their personality and share what it is like as that specific Enneagram type and what their Enneagram journey has been, finding out their type, understanding more, how they've grown, um, what's been hard about it, uh, what should others know about that type, misconceptions and myths, and all kinds of things. So getting into that to um, you know, I think validate those of us who may be able to resonate with that particular type, and then also be able to better learn and understand others in our life, even if we're not that type. And the people that you're going to be hearing from are um individuals that I have met at some of my workshops or events that have been willing to participate. Thank you in advance. Uh, you know who you are if you're listening to this. And then um sometimes I'll hear from I'll get really smart uh YouTube comments and I'll say, oh my gosh, I I love your perspective on that or how you shared that. Would you would you be on the show? And so you're gonna be hearing um those, those just real life uh Enneagram enthusiasts, uh learning from them, understanding their their take on it. Um, I also want to put it out there that at one of my uh workshops, somebody had shared an idea about what is life like, um, or what should we know if we are working with somebody of the same type as us rather than understanding? So we're a two, for example, rather than learning about all the other types, what should we know about working with other twos? She had asked. And I thought, oh my gosh, that's such a good question. Like a like a two versus two matchup or four versus four. Like, what do we need to know? Whether it's in a romantic relationship or a friendship or a family member or a coworker, a co-founder, whatever it might be. Um, I thought that was such a good question because we do talk a lot about working with all the different types, we don't talk a lot about working with the same type. So um I have two eights that are going to be on the show. I already have those scheduled. If you happen to be one of the other types and you have somebody else in your life that would be willing to come on with you and share about their experience and then talk a little bit about what that same type uh dynamic is like, just kind of the same way that you approach things, the synergies that you bring, the strengths that you bring, and then maybe some uh challenges that you run into as well with that same energy. I would love to hear from you. Um you could email me at Sarah, that's Sarah with an H S A R A H at enneagrammba.com. And uh I think that would just be so fun. So don't be shy. These you definitely don't have to be an expert. I don't expect you to be, I don't think listeners expect you to be. Um, it's just whatever you're willing to share. And uh if you have somebody else willing to share with you, even better, I think those would be some really fun episodes. So I'd love to sprinkle those in throughout this season as well. And then um also you'll hear from some of the leaders and and owners of the some of the workshops that I've done as well about how they're using the Enneagram and their leadership or professional development individually, and then also how they've used the Enneagram within their teams and better understanding the people who they are working with and tailoring their leadership style to the different personalities on their team. So you'll get to hear um about how to hopefully get some some inspiration and ideas for applying it individually and then as you work with others. And then lastly, there may be some episodes sprinkled within um a where it's just you and I hanging out, and we're talking about, you know, many educational Enneagram educational episodes. Um, one I have on here is how to navigate change depending on your Enneagram style. So just a quick uh kind of training topic on that. So those will that will be sprinkled throughout as well. And and that will be in. And that's a lot, that's a lot. Um, like I said, I've already been recording several interviews. They're in the queue. They're I want to say they're ready to go, they are ready to go. I just I just actually have to do the tech to get them ready to go, but they're almost there. Um, lots of others scheduled. And then, like I said, if you happen to be one that are willing to share um your own experience, um, particularly with another type, let me know. Um, I would love to hear you, hear from you and potentially have you on the show. Look at getting that scheduled. So um with that, I want to thank you for coming back. And I'm looking forward to seeing you in this next season each week. Um, we will be kicking off this season with Hillary Kay talking about the Enneagram and burnout, the stress cycles. That was a really interesting one. I love that. I love that topic. Um, and we'll also be talking about in that one, which I thought was interesting, is there are some types that don't even realize they're in burnout. And so she calls those types out too. So you you gotta come back to that one. Um, that'll be our season four interview kickoff. And in addition to being a podcast, Enneagram MBA is also a team training company. So if you happen to be listening to this and have a team, whether it is a four-person team or a 40-person team, or maybe you are planning a 400-person event and are looking for some entertainment and information, um, I'm going to invite you to check out the options over at EnneagramMBA.com. That's a great place to get started, check out, kind of see some of the initial ideas, get in touch, share more about how those ideas might align with your group, your goals, your budget, your dates, where you're having the event, and how Enneagram MBA might be able to deliver an experience for that particular group, whether it's entertainment and information, or whether it is help with navigating a specific challenge where it's ongoing, um, all kinds of different options available. And Enneagram MBA.com is the best place to start. With that, I appreciate you being here. I'm excited that you're here for this. And I cannot wait to see you in the first official episode of season four.
